I had planned to fund the Town Crier project through voluntary donations but as I've been asked many times about the possibility of paid advertising, I have concluded that this is a needed-and-wanted feature. 

However, I do not want to turn the Town Crier into a glorified advertising hoarding where the articles are overwhelmed by and play second-fiddle to advertisements. I want it to remain a magazine that people actually read due to its interesting, informative and helpful content. In any case, a magazine that people will actually take an interest in and read is beneficial to those who do advertise in it.

At the same time, I want the advertising to be comfortably affordable to the community's small businesses as these too  are an important component of the community. Town Crier advertisers will be in effect sponsors of the magazine as their funds will help keep the show on the road for the benefit of all.

I am therefore introducing a limited amount of paid advertising opportunities in the magazine, plus advertising space on the Town Crier website itself.
